Save My Socks - A Plea for Help

My daughter is a sockaholic!   Keeps nicking mine.  lol   I don't mind because my arthritic feet can't cope with some of the snug fits that you get with bought ones.  Makes my ankles swell and then I have to lie down with feet on cushion..which drives me mad when I have things to do/places to go!  lol.

So, I've decided that I am going to started knitting some and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction of EASY sock patterns?   Easy patterns required for a) brain and b) arthriticky hands.   I would be very much obliged...and so would my feet:o) xx.

My pc is too slow in the search department.  So slow that it times out! 

PS.  What yarn do you use/not use?   I've got tons of mohair wool.  Don't suppose you can use that?     How long does it normally take to knit a pair?   Anyone know?   My tootsies are waiting in earnest:o)

I've got a few friends birthdays coming up, so I've knitted these and trimmed the cuff with some lace.

Chick, chick, chick, chick, chicken, lay a little egg for me!

Been making these, I'm going to use them instead of party bags at Clarks and Solomans parties which we've got over the next few weeks. Eden and her friends usually give each other gifts for Christmas and Easter. You leave a hole in the bottom and put in an egg. Don't look too closely some of them look quite menacing up close!

Dolly outfits

I've been  making these for my niece :-) the cream cardigan pattern is here  is made with crochet sc and dc stitches. The pink outfit is knitted and i got the pattern from here . I loved making them and having an excuse to play with my daughters dolls ;-) , well I had to check they were fitting ok didn't I !

Charity knitting

We are having a "Fairtrade Fortnight" at the church where we have our knit and natter meetings to promote fairtrade products, so I've been going along and trying to promote the knitting group. Here's some of the things we've knitted since Christmas


The boys and myself have been knitting things for Samaritans Purse who do the Christmas Shoeboxes, I'd love to say that I knitted it all but this is just one of the piles of garments given in, these are mainly jumpers. We went to the handover of all the garments and were made very welcome.

Here's most of the stuff, Soloman and Cody are in the picture wearing some of the hand puppets, hats and scarves.

*the socks are from this pattern on ravelry, but I used a bigger hook so these are a bit chunkier and more like slipper socks than sock socks

granny squares bag

While I've been joining in with the leap year blanket I've been wanting to do more than one square a day so i've made this bag up from a pattern I bought on etsy, I love it! I've got to line it now but rather than crocheting the inside i'm going to do it with fabric so that the bag doesn't stretch. I found the pattern on here.
