Crochet Chess Set

This is a crochet chess set which my mum has made. Fully functional and rather stylish in an odd retro fashion I think *grin*.

The board turns into a draw string bag which holds all of the pieces.

Very time consuming and fiddly. The pieces have wooden dowel and weighting in to keep them upright and sturdy.

The picture doesn't really do it justice. The detailing on the pieces is excellent.

  6. It looks like a cosy way of playing chess! But it does look like it was a lot of work, with so many twists and turns.

  9. Wow, your Mum did a great job with my pattern! I'm sad that you are giving it away. That takes food out of my children's mouths. :(

    1. I don't think anyone has shared your pattern Sharon, certainly nobody on this group blog would want to take any food from anyone !!
